Tableware line for Helvetas-Fairshop

Re-interpretation of a traditional design

The development organization Helvetas works with sustainable manufacturers from around the world, but has the products designed in Switzerland to correspond to the taste of the domestic audience. For our ceramic collections, we deconstructed the opulent oriental pattern Tibarine of the Tunisian tableware manufacturer Le Souk Céramique and divided up the various décor elements on different items. In the process, each developed an impact all its own, even if motivic elements were isolated and enlarged, as we tried out for individual bowls, serving dishes, and utensil holders.
