"Eskâbo" step ladder and side table
Self-explanatory in any position
This multi-purpose furniture of Bakelite-covered plywood I designed for my mother based on her wishes. Fifteen were made. The dark surfaces and bright edges give it a defined appearance. The curves have on the one hand an aesthetic function, but also help to minimize wear and tear of the corners and explain how to use the object: by turning it ninety degrees, the ladder transforms into a small table.
